Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level I Trauma Emergency Department position requiring MO or compact RN licensure, ACLS and PALS certifications, with holiday and weekend shift commitments.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Emergency Department of a Level I trauma center with Stroke and STEMI designation
- Includes coverage of main ED and ED Observation with pediatric ED cases included
- Float between ED and ED Observation units as needed
- Work three 12-hour day shifts per week from 6:45 to 19:15
- Required to work every other weekend and cover at least 50% of holidays during the contract
- Cerner EMR is used; experience preferred but not required
- Will not be required to float to the associated psychiatric center
- Must be able to work full shifts and assigned weekends
- All RTO (requested time off) must be submitted at the time of application
- Local candidates within 75 miles are accepted at a reduced rate
- First-time travelers with the required trauma experience will be considered
Requirements
- Active MO or compact RN license in hand
- Current certifications: ACLS and PALS are required
- At least 2 years of RN experience and 1 year in Emergency Department required
- Level I trauma experience required for first-time travelers
- CPI certification preferred; can be obtained onsite if not currently held
