Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an X-Ray Technologist with OR experience and BLS/ARRT(R) certification for a 13-week contract.

Responsibilities

• Work across OR, adult acute care, outpatient, bedside/portable, ER, ICU, Peds, and PICU settings
• Care provided to neonates, infants, adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Perform a variety of general and trauma imaging procedures including abdomen, upper and lower extremities, head, chest, spine, and pelvis
• Shift is 4x10s, Monday-Thursday from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM
• On-call rotation included with staff
• Uses Epic EMR; experience preferred but not required
• Must be available for one holiday per 13-week contract
• Join a Level I Trauma Center specializing in a wide spectrum of patient care
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates are not accepted per facility requirements
• Scrub attire required per OR protocol
• Must provide two professional references for consideration
• Driver’s license and Social Security card are required for onboarding
• Holiday shifts are rotated with team members

Requirements

• Current BLS certification required
• Current ARRT(R) certification required
• OR radiologic technologist experience required
• Virginia state license required; emergency authorization available if permanent VA license is processing
• Any active state license accepted if in hand
• Proficiency in a broad range of X-ray procedures for multiple anatomic regions and trauma cases
• License required if applicable
