Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position requiring TELE experience and an active MO or compact license.

Responsibilities

• Position is located in a hospital Med/Surg unit
• Patient population includes AKI, SOB, chest pain, hysterectomy, thyroid cancer, and cardiac cath cases
• Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:5-6
• Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week from 19:00 to 07:00
• Floating to other hospital units is required
• Required to work at least 50% of holidays during the contract
• Uses Cerner EMR, though prior Cerner experience is only preferred
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Locals are allowed with a reduced rate and must live at least 75 miles away for full travel pay
• Must submit all time off requests with initial application; no exceptions
• Must be able to work assigned weekends and complete the duration of scheduled shifts
• Required to participate in care of a variety of acute medical and post-surgical patients

Requirements

• Active MO or compact state RN license required at time of consideration
• Current BLS certification required
• TELE experience is required
• Minimum of 1 year specialty experience on Med/Surg accepted
• At least 2 years of RN experience preferred unless otherwise specified
• References from two previous supervisors required
