Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position in Kentucky with night shifts and NIH Stroke certification required.

Responsibilities

Position is in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) of a hospital
Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Contract length is 13 weeks
Care for adult patients requiring intermediate level of monitoring
Floating requirements not specified
Provide comprehensive nursing care to PCU patients needing continuous monitoring
Maintain accurate, timely documentation and communication with the healthcare team
Scrub or dress code requirements not specified
Holiday and weekend coverage requirements not specified

Requirements

Active KY or compact RN license required
Minimum 1 year of recent PCU experience required
Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from AHA or ARC, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
Must provide US Social Security Number and date of birth for consideration
No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
Professional references required as per state guidelines
No local candidates; must reside outside a 50-mile radius

Pros

Sebrona was so helpful and quick to respond. She is kind and patient. She was able to get me the job I wanted with excellent pay. After she done her part she continued to check in with me to see how the compliance part was going. I felt comfortable with asking her questions even though it wasn’t the department she worked in. She would reach out to others and get the answer or be sure they contacted me.
