Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neonatal ICU position requiring an active IL RN license, BLS, NRP, and NIHSS certifications.
Responsibilities
- Work in a Level 1 Trauma Center within the Neonatal ICU
- Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am
- Every other weekend required, totaling 2 weekends per month
- No block scheduling or special scheduling requests allowed
- Mandatory floating to any unit or affiliated facility within 50 miles as needed
- Uses Cerner EMR system
- Must be willing to float both within primary facility and to affiliated locations
- Team-based model used if floated outside primary area of competency
- Strict compliance with all pre-employment lab work within 72 hours of offer acceptance
- Navy blue scrubs required and not provided
- Lab work completion required within 72 hours of accepting an offer
- Maximum 5 days of time off allowed per contract with no more than 2 consecutive days and no time off on weekends or around holidays
Requirements
- Active IL RN license required at time of application
- Minimum of 2 years NICU nursing experience required
- Current BLS, NRP, and NIHSS certifications required
- Must reside within 75 miles of the facility
- COVID-19 vaccination required

Unit is traveler friendly. Rad onc unit is in the basement of course so no interaction with other departments.

Sebrona was so helpful and quick to respond. She is kind and patient. She was able to get me the job I wanted with excellent pay. After she done her part she continued to check in with me to see how the compliance part was going. I felt comfortable with asking her questions even though it wasn’t the department she worked in. She would reach out to others and get the answer or be sure they contacted me.
