Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Charge RN for a Med/Surg unit night shift position requiring prior charge and Med/Surg experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 10-bed Medical Surgical unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule with 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts, rotating every other weekend
• Maximum nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5
• Requires occasional floating to assist other departments in emergency situations
• No on-call responsibilities
• Uses CPSI charting system; prior experience not required as training is provided
• This is a Charge RN position with oversight and coordination responsibilities for the MS unit
• Strictly no RTO (Requested Time Off) permitted during the contract
• Must provide two professional references for consideration
• Team support available during orientation and throughout the assignment

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Minimum two years of RN experience with previous charge experience required
• Certifications required: BLS and ACLS; PALS preferred
• Willing to accept first-time travelers
