Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit night shift position requiring a NC or compact RN license and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital-based Progressive Care Unit on the 7th floor
• Care for patients with complex medical needs requiring intermediate care
• Night shifts from 7:00pm to 7:00am
• 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
• Responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care using the nursing process
• Participate in interdisciplinary team discussions to evaluate and revise patient care plans
• Perform bedside point of care testing as part of care delivery
• Utilize patient education resources and assess family readiness to learn
• Promote a safe, clean, and secure hospital environment
• Participate in unit goals, performance improvement, and cost-effective care initiatives
• Reading relevant research and sharing applicable information with team members is encouraged

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required from AHA or ARC
• Minimum of one year of nursing experience required
• Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited nursing program required
