Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an OR Surgicenter position in Illinois, requiring EPIC charting proficiency and Level 1 Trauma experience.

Responsibilities

Work in a hospital-based ambulatory surgery center (OR Surgicenter)
Patient population includes surgical patients requiring perioperative nursing care
Day shifts Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
EPIC electronic medical record system used and experience required
No local candidates within a 50-mile radius will be considered
Responsibilities include patient assessment, plan of care development, IV establishment, medication administration, and participation in surgical time-out procedures
Duties require accurate documentation and communication with healthcare team members
Return to work at this health system requires a 6-month break after 1 year on assignment
No travel partners are accepted for this assignment
Requested time off cannot exceed 7 days during the 13-week contract
Scrub color or dress code details will be provided at assignment onboarding
Candidates must provide required documents and complete compliance steps before start

Requirements

Active Illinois RN license; temporary licenses accepted
Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required
Minimum of one year of relevant operating room nursing experience required
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association
EPIC charting experience required
Level 1 Trauma experience required

Sebrona was so helpful and quick to respond. She is kind and patient. She was able to get me the job I wanted with excellent pay. After she done her part she continued to check in with me to see how the compliance part was going. I felt comfortable with asking her questions even though it wasn’t the department she worked in. She would reach out to others and get the answer or be sure they contacted me.
