Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery position in Hawaii requiring active HI RN licensure and at least 3 years of L&D experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital setting with assignments in Labor & Delivery (8 beds), Postpartum (18 beds), and Nursery
• Serve diverse patient populations including laboring mothers and newborns
• Variable day and night 12-hour shifts with 36 hours per week after orientation
• One scheduled 12-hour on-call shift at least once per month
• Uses Meditech EMR and GE/Centricity fetal monitoring systems
• Provide care for laboring mothers, assist with deliveries, and manage immediate newborn and postpartum care
• All travelers must report to Employee Health 48-72 hours prior to assignment start
• Plan to arrive in Hawaii the Thursday before a Monday assignment start for pre-employment health clearance
• COVID-19 vaccination may be required

Requirements

• Active HI RN license required by start of assignment
• Minimum 3 years of recent labor and delivery experience
• Certifications required: BLS and NRP
• STABLE and Advanced Fetal Monitoring certifications recommended
• Proficiency in labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care
