Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist with 2-3 years of experience, ACLS/BLS (AHA) certification, and a background in acute care cardiac procedures.

Responsibilities

• Acute care cardiac catheterization lab and EP environment, Trauma Level 1
• Unit features 8 fluoro rooms and 1 minimally invasive room without fluoro
• Procedures include right and left heart caths, peripheral/vascular cases, scrub device work, and participation in EP cases
• Utilizes XIM (Witt, Philips charting), EPIC EMR, Pyxis, Xcelera, Siemens and Philips fluoro systems
• 4x10 hour day shifts with varying start times (0530-1600, 0630-1700, 0730-1800)
• Required on-call: 1-2 calls per week and 1 call weekend every 3-4 weeks, with 30-minute response time
• No floating to other units
• Duties include scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring during a variety of cardiac and vascular procedures
• Training and orientation provided, with special focus on monitoring in XIM and effective scrub/circulating skills
• Scrubs provided in Ceil Blue
• All clinicians must badge in and out daily
• Returning employees must have at least a 6 month gap since last Sanford Health employment
• Candidates within 80 miles of the facility are considered local and subject to local pay rate rules

Requirements

• Minimum 2-3 years of recent cardiac cath lab or EP technologist experience
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications, both AHA required
• RCIS or RCES preferred
• Familiarity with XIM, Epic, Pyxis, and fluoro equipment strongly preferred
