Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) night shift position in a chronic care unit, requiring a current CA RN license and at least 2 years of recent specialty experience.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) hospital setting
• Works in the chronic care unit with medically complex and chronic patient populations
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week travel contract assignment
• Patient care is focused on long-term, medically complex cases
• Electronic timekeeping system used for clocking in and out
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
• All staff must clock in and out electronically for timekeeping
• Local candidates accepted at a reduced pay rate
• No Canadian SINs accepted; candidates must have US SSN
• Cannot hold a permanent position within the system during this assignment

Requirements

• Active and current CA RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years recent LTAC or relevant specialty experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required, with no certifications expiring within 30 days of start; RCIS, RQI, and Sagewest submissions not accepted for this role
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past year
• Full US Social Security Number required
• Must not be permanently employed within the health system at the time of assignment
