Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Burn Trauma ICU night shift contract requiring a TX or compact RN license and NIH Stroke Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Work in the Burn Trauma ICU (BTICU) at a hospital setting
  • Night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • Cares for burn and trauma patient populations
  • 13-week assignment duration
  • Provide specialized care to patients in a Burn Trauma ICU setting
  • Follow standard hospital dress code for ICU
  • References required per state guidelines
  • Not accepting Canadian applicants

Requirements

  • Active TX or compact RN license required
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Burn Trauma ICU experience required
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications from AHA or ARC required
  • NIH Stroke Certification required
  • All certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the contract
  • No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
  • Applicants must live more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
  • US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
