Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department travel assignment in Texas with specialty certifications required.
Responsibilities
- Position is in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
- Shift is 1:00 PM to 1:00 AM
- 13-week contract assignment
- No local candidates accepted due to a 50-mile radius rule
- Must provide compassionate and efficient emergency nursing care
- Must submit required documents including references and proof of license and certifications
- Holiday and weekend coverage may be required per unit needs
Requirements
- Active TX or compact state RN license required
- Minimum 1 year of recent emergency department nursing experience
- Current certifications required: BLS (AHA or ARC), ACLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale
- CPI or equivalent crisis prevention certification mandatory for ER nurses
- TNCC certification required for ER roles
- All certifications must be valid and not expire within the first 30 days of assignment
- No work history gaps exceeding 90 days in the past year
- U.S. Social Security Number required (no Canadian SSNs accepted)
- References required for consideration

Sebrona was so helpful and quick to respond. She is kind and patient. She was able to get me the job I wanted with excellent pay. After she done her part she continued to check in with me to see how the compliance part was going. I felt comfortable with asking her questions even though it wasn’t the department she worked in. She would reach out to others and get the answer or be sure they contacted me.
