Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a night shift assignment requiring a TX or compact RN license and NIH Stroke Certification.

Responsibilities

• Position is located in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a hospital setting
• Night shift hours are 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week contract assignment
• Care involves a range of critically ill adult patients
• Responsibilities include providing comprehensive nursing care to critically ill adult patients in the ICU
• Participation in a multidisciplinary care team environment
• Holiday coverage may be required during the contract
• First-time travelers are eligible for consideration
• Additional certifications may be required based on specific patient needs or unit requirements

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 1 year recent ICU experience strongly preferred; 3 years noted in posting
• Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS from AHA or ARC, NIH Stroke Scale Certification
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• Must submit at least one professional reference for Texas; state-specific reference requirements apply
• No local candidates permitted; must live outside a 50-mile radius
