Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Critical Care Float Pool ICU position requiring night shifts, OH or compact RN license, and advanced critical care skills.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Critical Care Float Pool covering Neuro ICU, Surgical ICUs, Medical ICUs, Cardiology/Diagnostics, CVICU, SICU, MICU, and NCCU
• Hospital setting with a variety of ICU units based on staffing and patient acuity
• Night shift schedule: 3x12 hour shifts, weekends, 7:00PM – 7:30AM
• Floating required to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed
• Uses the Epic EMR system
• Responsible for providing critical care nursing across multiple ICU specialties depending on hospital needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-acuity patient care
• All required fingerprinting for Ohio must be completed urgently upon contract signing
• Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers
• RTO (requested time off) must be submitted prior to contract confirmation
• First time travelers will be considered
• Former employees may be eligible if separated from the facility for at least 6 months
• Current employees of the hospital are not eligible for travel positions

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years ICU experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR is required
• IV start, telemetry, and ventilator management experience required
• Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Two professional references required, including one from a manager or director; charge RN acceptable for second reference
• Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred
