Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with a California license and strong night shift skills for a hospital intensive care unit assignment.

Responsibilities

• Work in the ICU of a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
• Weekend rotation is required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating to other units or locations may occur as needed
• Care for critically ill adult patients
• Uses Epic EMR with preference for prior experience
• Must complete required orientation modules via e-learning
• Only one holiday request for time off (RTO) will be approved
• Returning staff must have been away from the facility for at least one year to return as a traveler
• Locals are accepted but receive a different pay rate
• Assignment is 13 weeks in length
• Modules averaging 1-5 hours are completed during orientation
• Team-oriented work environment with support from experienced ICU staff

Requirements

• Active California RN license in hand
• Current AHA certifications in BLS and ACLS
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Minimum of 3 years recent ICU experience required; 4 years preferred
• Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of accepting the position
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
• Epic charting experience preferred
