Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU/SICU night shift position requiring an active NY RN license and Epic EMR proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Position is in the Surgical and Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit (SICU/Neuro ICU)
• Work schedule is night shift from 19:00 to 07:30
• Patients are primarily surgical and neuroscience critical care cases
• Epic EMR is utilized and experience is required
• Competency testing for ICU must be passed within two attempts
• Blocked scheduling is not permitted
• More than three call outs during the contract may result in termination; makeup shifts must be completed within six weeks
• Request for time off (RTO) must be submitted with application
• Local candidates residing in specified counties within a 50-mile radius are not eligible
• Travel pairs are not allowed for this position
• Must submit only to one position at a time with American Traveler

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at the time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in ICU or specialty area required
• Current AHA or RQI BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Epic EMR experience required for all candidates
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number is required (Canadian SIN not accepted)
• Medical flu exemption may be accepted if signed by a licensed professional
