Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Critical Care Unit position in NY with EPIC EMR experience and an active NY RN license required.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Progressive Critical Care Unit within a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule from 07:00 to 19:00
• No blocked scheduling is permitted
• No travel pairs are allowed for this assignment
• No local candidates living in specified counties within a 50-mile radius are eligible for consideration
• EPIC EMR is utilized and prior experience is required
• Competency assessments must be successfully completed as applicable to unit assignment
• More than 3 call outs within a 13-week contract may result in contract termination and make-up shifts must be completed within six weeks
• RTO (requested time off) must be submitted with your application
• Travelers may only apply for one position at a time at this facility
• Professional references, skills checklists, and relevant attestation forms are required as part of the onboarding process

Requirements

• Active NY RN license must be in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a Progressive Critical Care or similar specialty required
• Certifications from AHA or RQI (BLS, ACLS, and additional as required)
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Must pass ICU competency testing within two attempts if assigned to ICU; Med Surg applicants with less than 2 years experience must pass Med Surg testing
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• U.S. Social Security Number required
• Medical documentation required for flu vaccine exemptions; no personal/religious declinations accepted
