Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN with recent trauma and telemetry experience for a critical care position in New Hampshire.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 10-bed hospital ICU caring for critically ill medical and surgical patients
• Patient population includes those with acute coronary syndrome and unstable hemodynamics
• Nurse-to-patient ratios are 2:1 or 1:1 depending on acuity, isolation needs, and RN experience
• Utilizes advanced equipment including electric therapeutic beds, cardiac monitoring, and wall-mounted documentation stations
• Requires telemetry skills and experience
• 12-hour day shifts with every other weekend and rotating holiday requirements
• Contract options for 36 or 48 hours per week
• Responsible for the rapid recognition and treatment of life-threatening complications in critically unstable patients
• Emphasis on total patient care and supporting families in a technologically advanced environment
• Required to work rotating holidays and every other weekend
• No first-time travelers will be considered

Requirements

• Active NH or compact RN license with proof of state residency
• Minimum 1.5 years recent ICU experience with Level 1 or comparable Level 2 trauma within the last 2 years
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Telemetry experience required
• CCRN certification preferred
• Applicants must live at least 75 miles away; local candidates are not eligible
