Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) role in a fast-paced Eastern Montana setting with day and night shifts available.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Critical Access Hospital providing care to laboring mothers, postpartum patients, and newborns
• Responsibilities include triage, fetal monitoring (NSTs), and newborn care
• Unit supports labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum and nursery functions
• Shifts offered are 06:45–19:00 (day) and 18:45–07:00 (night)
• Collaborative, team-oriented unit with strong interdisciplinary support
• Care for laboring patients, postpartum mothers, and newborns throughout their hospital stay
• Perform triage and non-stress tests (NSTs), serve as a second nurse at deliveries, and assist with overflow patients
• Collaborate closely with physicians, pediatricians, and care teams to manage patient care and support
• Must support patients experiencing complications during pregnancy, birth, or recovery
• Position available for both day and night shifts

Requirements

• Active MT or compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of labor and delivery experience required
• Certifications required: BLS/BCLS, NRP, and STABLE
• Intermediate or higher Fetal Monitoring certification required
• Must be labor-trained
