Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist with at least 1 year of cath lab experience and AHA ACLS/BLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a cardiac catheterization lab setting
• Work involves providing technical support during invasive cardiovascular procedures and assisting physicians with imaging and interventions
• Day shifts, 4x10s, typically 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Patient population includes individuals undergoing cardiac and vascular procedures
• EPIC charting is used
• Responsibilities include scrubbing for procedures, maintaining sterile fields, operating imaging equipment, and monitoring/documenting all procedure events
• Provides patient and family education regarding procedures and expectations
• Maintains unit cleanliness and stocks supplies for interventions and diagnostics
• Documents patient care and productivity according to departmental standards
• Participates in quality and safety initiatives
• Permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before eligibility for a travel assignment

Requirements

• Active license required if applicable
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in cardiac cath lab procedures
• Registered ARRT, RCIS, or RCES; or Registered Respiratory Therapist with CV-specific certification required within 18 months of hire
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA required and must be valid through assignment
• Fluoroscopy certification required
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree preferred
• Experience with EPIC EMR preferred
