Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Cath Specialist with ARRT or RCIS certification and a background in radiological science, special procedures, or nursing.

Responsibilities

• Work in a specialized cardiac catheterization lab performing imaging and interventional cardiac procedures
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Thursday, 7:00am to 5:30pm
• Patient care includes cardiac and peripheral vascular imaging and interventions
• Utilizes IVUS, Combo Map, ICE, HeartLab, and other cath lab-specific equipment
• Performs daily room preparations, quality checks, and maintains procedure room/equipment
• Assist physicians in digital radiographic imaging and various cardiac and peripheral procedures
• Demonstrate expert knowledge in hemodynamics, diagnostic, interventional, and peripheral protocols
• Practice radiation safety and sterile techniques throughout all procedures
• Responsible for inventory, data collection, and documentation in multiple reporting and archiving systems
• May train or supervise other specialists and staff
• Background check and drug screen must be completed through a specified vendor; candidates must report for drug screening within 24 hours of commitment

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited program in radiologic science, special procedures, professional nursing, or completion of a cardiac catheterization course (transcripts required)
• Current ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy or Radiology, or RCIS certification through CCI
• License required if applicable
• Experience with cardiac catheterization lab equipment required
