Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with Ortho and General Surgery background and active PA or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in the hospital Operating Room setting
• Primary cases include Ortho (Joints, Spine, Sports Injury) and General Surgery
• Direct intra-OR circulating experience required; scrub experience preferred
• EPIC EMR use required
• 4x10 hour day shifts, either 7:00am-5:30pm or 9:00am-7:30pm
• Call required: 4-5 call shifts per 6-week period, with 30-minute call back time
• Weekday call is 7:30pm-7:00am and weekend call is 7:00am-7:00am
• Weekend shifts and holiday coverage required
• Expected to work 2 out of 3 major holidays; no time off allowed between Christmas and New Year's
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off permitted during contract
• May care for COVID-positive patients
• Facility is tobacco and fragrance free
• Pre-start modules required, estimated 5-6 hours to complete
• Pairs/travel pairs are accepted, but matched schedules are not guaranteed
• Local candidates (within 50 miles) are considered at a reduced rate

Requirements

• Active PA or compact RN license with no license hits
• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience
• Current ACLS and BLS (AHA or ARC only)
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Experience with Ortho and General Surgery cases is required
• Must be able to meet a 30-minute call-back time during call shifts
