Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with Level I trauma and DaVinci Xi robot proficiency for a day shift assignment.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Operating Room of a hospital setting
• Assignment is 13 weeks in length
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 7:00 to 19:00
• Will be required to work 3-4 weekend shifts within a 6-week matrix, which may include day, evening, or night shifts
• Holiday shifts are assigned per department needs and may be during the day, evening, or night
• On-call required for 2-3 shifts within a 6-week matrix, with a 30-minute callback response time
• No floating required
• Patient population includes trauma and potential COVID-positive patients
• Uses Epic for charting; Epic experience is heavily preferred
• Operations utilize DaVinci Xi and DV5 robotic systems
• RNs are expected to scrub and circulate
• Must adhere to tobacco and fragrance-free policy within the facility
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off is allowed per contract
• Charting modules must be completed pre-start and generally take 5-6 hours
• Holiday coverage is required per department needs
• Pairs are allowed for travel assignments, but matched schedules cannot be guaranteed
• No previous license discipline accepted
• Facility accepts travel pairs but cannot guarantee aligned schedules

Requirements

• Active PA or compact RN license with no restrictions
• Minimum 3 years recent Operating Room RN experience
• At least 1 year Level II trauma experience required; Level I trauma experience preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Must be proficient in circulating and scrubbing in specialties including robotics, orthopedics, general surgery, GYN, urology, bariatrics, ENT, plastics, vascular, thoracic (excluding cardiac/open heart), and trauma
• Must function independently with DaVinci Xi robot; DV5 DaVinci experience is preferred
• American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) certifications required
• Willingness and ability to care for COVID patients
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius to qualify for travel rate
