Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Med/Surg position on an Acute Medicine unit requiring BLS, NIHSS, and EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Acute Medicine unit of a hospital
• 20-bed general Med/Surg patient population
• 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week (7:00pm-7:00am)
• 13-week contract assignment
• Cerner and Epic EMR systems are used
• No on-call responsibilities
• RTO (requested time off) must be submitted up front and cannot be requested after offer
• Perm staff returning as travelers must have a 2-year break before eligibility
• Scrub or dress code details not specified; bring standard attire until further direction
• References must be provided during the compliance process
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Orientation and support will be provided on the unit

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification from AHA or Apex Innovations required
• Previous Med/Surg nursing experience is required
• Experience with Cerner or Epic EMR systems required
• No local candidates within a 50-mile radius
