Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist with at least 3 years of acute hospital experience and ARDMS certifications for a variable shift assignment.

Responsibilities

• Work setting is an acute care hospital imaging department
• Modalities include general ultrasound, OB/GYN, small parts, and vascular sonography
• Patient population includes adults, pediatrics, and neonates
• Procedures include abdominal, GYN, OB, neonatal head, superficial structures, and vascular studies
• Involvement with aspirations, biopsies, drainage, and intraoperative procedures
• Uses Canon i700 ultrasound, Meditech EMR, and Fuji Synapse PACS
• Variable shifts with a 40-hour workweek; call coverage as required
• Floating to other units or departments expected
• Must report to Employee Health 48-72 hours prior to the start of the assignment
• Plan to arrive in Hawaii by the Thursday before the assignment begins to complete Employee Health requirements on Friday
• Personal scrubs or professional healthcare attire required

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in an acute hospital setting as an ultrasound technologist
• ARDMS certifications required: AB, OB, and RVT
• Active BLS certification required through AHA
• Competency in abdominal, GYN, OB, neonatal, superficial, and vascular ultrasound procedures
• Experience with Canon i700 equipment, Meditech EMR, and Fuji Synapse PACS preferred
• License required if applicable
