Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU position requiring a NC or compact license and strong pediatric critical care skills.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVPICU) in a hospital setting
• Night shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week (19:00-07:30)
• Every other weekend shifts required
• May float to other units as needed
• Patient population includes critically ill pediatric and cardiac patients
• Bi-weekly orientation sessions available
• Responsibilities include delivering critical care to pediatric cardiac patients
• Team-based environment with multidisciplinary support
• Annual and specialty-specific module completion required, some during orientation
• Local candidates are accepted if residing within 75 miles at a lower rate
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Requests for time off should be limited to 5-7 days
• A minimum lead time of three weeks is needed between booking and start date to complete compliance processing

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license in hand
• Current BLS and PALS certifications required
• Minimum two years pediatric ICU, PICU, NICU, Peds Stepdown, or pediatric RN experience strongly preferred
• Must provide one supervisory reference from within the last year
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Flu vaccine is mandatory with no exemptions or declinations accepted
