Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU position requiring a NC or compact license and BLS/PALS certifications.

Responsibilities

Work in a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) within a hospital setting
Care for pediatric cardiovascular and intensive care patients
Day shift, 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:30
Floating to other units is required
Every other weekend is required
Bi-weekly orientation sessions are provided
First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Locals are accepted within a 75-mile radius
Responsibilities include monitoring and caring for critically ill pediatric patients with cardiovascular conditions
Modules and orientation are completed both virtually and onsite as required for the specialty
Holiday coverage may be required as part of the unit's needs

Requirements

Active NC or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
Minimum of 2 years experience strongly preferred; will consider related pediatric experience in PCICU, NICU, pediatric stepdown, or peds units
Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required
One supervisory reference from within the last year is required
Flu vaccination is mandatory with no exemptions or declinations accepted during the flu season

Pros

Sebrona was so helpful and quick to respond. She is kind and patient. She was able to get me the job I wanted with excellent pay. After she done her part she continued to check in with me to see how the compliance part was going. I felt comfortable with asking her questions even though it wasn’t the department she worked in. She would reach out to others and get the answer or be sure they contacted me.
