Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an RN with at least one year of Level 1 Trauma PACU experience and an active NC or compact RN license for a hospital-based PACU role.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a hospital PACU and PreOp Care unit
• Level 1 Trauma environment with a diverse surgical patient population
• Day shifts from 7:00am to 7:00pm, five days per week
• Assignment is 13 weeks in duration
• Provide competent clinical nursing care to post-anesthesia patients in accordance with professional standards
• Coordinate and deliver care utilizing the nursing process within an interdisciplinary team
• Perform bedside point of care testing for patient care needs
• Collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams for patient advocacy and discharge planning
• Participate in ongoing professional development and unit performance improvement initiatives
• Promote and maintain a safe, clean, and secure work environment

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or ARC)
• Minimum of one year nursing experience in a Level 1 Trauma setting
• Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited program
