Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Intermediate Care (IMC) night shift position requiring MS/Tele and Cardiac Tele experience, ACLS/BLS/NIHSS, and a MD or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Intermediate Care (IMC) unit of a hospital
• Focus on medical-surgical telemetry and cardiac telemetry patient populations
• Three 12-hour night shifts per week from 19:00 to 07:30
• Every other weekend work is required
• Must float to ICU and Med Surg units as needed
• Position is open to both local and travel nurses, with different pay rates for locals within 60 miles
• Duties include caring for IMC-level patients and may involve working with higher-acuity or cardiac telemetry cases
• Expected to be flexible and adapt to floating between IMC, ICU, and Med Surg units
• Standard hospital orientation and training will be provided
• Holiday and weekend coverage is required as assigned

Requirements

• Active MD or compact RN license required
• ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years MS/Tele and Cardiac Tele RN experience required
• Must pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with at least 80% overall and 100% on lethal rhythms
• First-time travelers are accepted
