Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a fast-paced, team-oriented hospital setting in Hawaii, requiring an active HI RN license and ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a 28-bed Emergency Department with 4 trauma bays, 2 behavioral health rooms, and 22 cardiac monitor rooms
  • Day shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week, totaling 36 hours weekly
  • Care for a varied ER patient population including trauma, cardiac, and behavioral health cases
  • Fast-paced, high patient turnover environment
  • Team-oriented approach to patient care
  • All travelers must report to Employee Health 48-72 hours prior to assignment start
  • Travelers should arrive in Hawaii the Thursday before a Monday start to attend Employee Health screening on Friday
  • No COVID-19 vaccination requirement specified
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Requirements

  • Active RN license for the State of Hawaii required by assignment start
  • Minimum of 2 years Emergency Department RN experience required
  • Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
  • Preferred additional certifications: Procedural Sedation, TMCC, and EMPC
