Description

Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with Florida license and vascular IR experience for a high-volume acute care setting.

Responsibilities

Work in a short-term acute care hospital in the Interventional Radiology department
Unit features 4 procedure rooms (3 biplane, 3 Siemens, 1 GE)
Cases include stroke intervention, neurointerventions, PE thrombectomy, DVT interventions, pain management, and oncology procedures (Y-90, MAAs, chemoembolizations)
Daily caseload per technologist is 20-30 cases
Supports adult, pediatric, and trauma patients (Level II Trauma, Level I Peds Trauma)
Uses Cerner EMR, with experience preferred
Shift is 4x10 hour day shifts, 07:30-18:00
Weekend and on-call rotation required (8-10 call days/month, one Saturday per month, 30-minute response time)
On-call sleep rooms provided
May float within scope to meet facility needs, but not to sister facilities
First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Scrub color is black or navy
Block scheduling may be discussed during interview
No RTO (time off) permitted in contract; may be discussed in interview when applicable
Parking is provided at no cost

Requirements

Current Florida Radiologic Technologist license required
BLS and ARRT certification required
Minimum 1 year experience in Interventional Radiology with vascular procedures
Experience with PACS, contrast, and biopsies required
Proficiency with stents, ablations, angioplasty, angiograms, nephogram, kyphoplasty, peripheral, abdominal, pelvic, vascular, neurological studies, and stroke thrombectomy IR required
COVID-19 vaccination required (medical or religious exemptions permitted)
License required if applicable
