Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Telemetry RN with at least one year of telemetry or medsurg and cardiac drip experience for a night shift assignment, requiring a LA or compact RN license.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital telemetry unit
- Patient ratios are 1:5 for day shifts and 1:6 for night shifts
- Night shifts consist of three 12-hour shifts from 18:45 to 07:15
- Weekend coverage required every other weekend
- Floating to other units is required
- Call is required as part of the assignment
- Uses Epic for EMR documentation
- Must be willing to serve on an Emergency Team and remain onsite during major events or respond as part of a relief team if assigned
- First-time travelers are accepted for this assignment
- All certifications must be issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Request time off must be disclosed and discussed during the interview to avoid offer rescindment
Requirements
- Active LA or compact RN license required
- Current AHA certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required
- ACLS certification preferred
- Minimum of one year of telemetry or medsurg experience required
- Experience with cardiac drips and EKG monitoring required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must live at least 65 miles from the facility; local travelers are not accepted
