Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with at least 2 years of experience and required ARRT or RCIS certification for an eight-hour day shift assignment.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital cath lab environment with one procedure room
• Care for both elective and emergent patients including those requiring PCI, pacemaker, and ICD implantation
• Daily caseload averages 4 procedures
• Procedures include balloon angioplasty, stents, thrombectomy, Impella insertion, left and right heart catheterization
• Shift is 8-hour days from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Call is required as part of the assignment
• No floating or weekend shifts required
• Uses Epic as the EMR system, Epic experience is required
• Responsibilities include performing interventional cardiac catheterization and device implants such as pacemakers and ICDs
• Basic rhythm interpretation and vitals obtained during procedures
• Monitoring experience and ability to assist with IABP, STEMI, and Impella cases is a plus
• Orientation is provided based on candidate experience
• Flexible scrub color allowed
• Candidates who have worked for the affiliated health system previously are ineligible for this assignment
• Travelers living within 50 miles of the facility will be offered the local pay rate
• First-time travelers may be considered based on experience
• Drug screening required within 14 days prior to start
• Include any requested time off at time of application

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent cath lab experience
• Current ACLS certification required (AHA or Red Cross only)
• Valid ARRT or RCIS certification required
• NH state license required if applicable
• Proficiency in scrubbing, balloon angioplasty, PCI, stents, thrombectomy, Impella insertion, and both left and right heart catheterization
• Epic EMR experience required
• Professional references required for consideration
