Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist with at least 1 year of radiology experience and current ARRT (R) certification for a Level II trauma center assignment.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a hospital-based imaging department at a Level II trauma and certified stroke center
  • Responsibilities span outpatient, inpatient (ED/ICU/MedSurg), and operating room settings
  • Patient population includes primarily adults and geriatrics, with some pediatrics and neonates
  • Three imaging rooms: two general X-ray, one dedicated fluoroscopy
  • Equipment includes Siemens Ysio and Multix Fusion units, Siemens Artis Zee fluoroscopy, OEC, Siemens, and Ziehm C-Arms in OR, and Shimadzu DR portables
  • EMR is Cerner; PACS is Enterprise Imaging AGFA
  • Variable 36-hour per week schedule with rotating weekends and holiday coverage in rotation
  • No call required
  • Floating may occur to inpatient locations other than OR or portables for scans
  • Duties include X-ray, fluoroscopy, C-arm operation, orthopedic and trauma imaging, and support for ICU, MedSurg, and ER patients
  • One to one and a half weeks of orientation provided, based on experience
  • Scrubs may be any solid professional color or provided by the facility
  • Support includes lead technologist, departmental administration, internal transport, and on-site radiologist
  • Free parking available
  • Weekend and holiday rotation required
  • First-time travelers and those with relevant one-year experience considered

Requirements

  • Current BLS and ARRT (R) certifications required
  • ME state radiology license required if applicable
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in radiology as a technologist
  • Demonstrated OR/C-arm experience and competency with stated patient types
  • Flu vaccination required for assignments beginning after 9/30/2024, with only medical exemptions considered
  • Must not have previously worked at a Northern Light Health Hospital in a permanent capacity
  • Permanent address must be at least 100 miles south or southwest of Bangor, ME
