Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 2 years of neuro and body IR experience and active ARRT credentials.

Responsibilities

  • Position is in an acute hospital interventional radiology department
  • Role involves all diagnostic IR procedures, including neurointerventional and body cases
  • Facility features 2 IR rooms, including a bi-plane suite for stroke and high acuity procedures
  • Uses Philips FD 20 Alura's equipment and Epic charting system
  • Average case load is 400 cases per year in primary location, with additional cases in a nearby facility
  • Procedures include stroke intervention (TPA and mechanical), EKOS, IVUS, Angio Jet, Yt-90 Sirspheres and Theraspheres
  • No cardiovascular cases performed
  • Work schedule consists of 4x10 hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM) with rotating days off
  • Involvement in a stroke program with advanced treatment modalities
  • Use of specialized IR equipment such as EKOS, IVUS, and Angio Jet
  • No local candidates accepted due to 50-mile radius rule
  • Permanent staff must be separated from employment for at least one year before consideration for travel assignments
  • No blocked scheduling or special scheduling requests will be accommodated
  • Dress code and scrubs details to be provided upon assignment

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of recent interventional radiology experience required
  • Neuro and body IR procedural experience required
  • Active ARRT certification as CV or VI required; must be active at time of consideration
  • Current BLS (AHA) required
  • Experience charting in Epic required
  • Submission requires copies of current credentials and driver’s license
  • License required if applicable
  • Must provide 2 professional references: one from a supervisor within the last 12 months and one from a supervisor or peer within the last 3 years, including employment dates and rehire eligibility

L&D Unit is Traveler friendly for CST roll as well as RN roll. Work load is very manageable. Great staff support.
