Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a skilled ICU RN with an active IL license, Level 1 trauma experience, and Epic EMR proficiency for a night shift assignment.

Responsibilities

• Hospital ICU setting with a focus on critical care patients
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 pm – 7:30 am, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Assignment duration is 13 weeks
• Unit requires experience with Level 1 trauma cases
• Epic EMR system is used and proficiency with Epic is required
• Responsible for comprehensive patient assessment, plan of care development, and care implementation for ICU patients
• Maintain up-to-date, accurate patient documentation and modify care plans based on ongoing evaluations
• Expected to support patient and employee safety, promptly address safety hazards, and communicate effectively with healthcare team members
• RTO is not to exceed 7 total days per 13 week contract
• No travel partner placements accepted for this assignment
• Contingent workers may not be on assignment at this health system for more than one year and must take a 6-month break before returning
• Scrub color or dress code will be specified prior to assignment start

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license, temporary license accepted
• Minimum of one year relevant ICU nursing experience
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required; BSN preferred
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
• Documented experience in Level 1 trauma settings
• Experience with Epic EMR is required
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (no locals)
