Job Description
American Traveler is hiring a night-shift ICU RN with open heart, neuro, and CRRT experience for a high-acuity unit in Illinois.
Responsibilities
- Work in a 30-bed mixed SICU, MICU, and Neuro ICU setting
- Care for fresh cardiac surgery (CABG), neuro, and high-acuity patients
- CRRT and stroke care experience required
- Epic EMR proficiency required
- Night shift schedule from 19:30 to 07:00
- Required to work every other weekend and every other holiday
- Floating may be required during low census in ICU
- Main responsibilities include caring for post-op open heart patients, managing CRRT, and acute neurological cases
- No requested time off (RTO) permitted during holidays
- Sick calls on weekends require a make-up shift the following weekend
- Scrub or dress code details not specified
- Local and travel candidates are accepted at the same pay rate
Requirements
- Active IL RN license required
- Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications from AHA or Red Cross required
- Experience in open heart, neuro, CRRT, CABG, stroke, and TNK administration required
- Completion of Workplace Violence Prevention training (DCI/BVP) accepted via specified providers
- Epic EMR experience required
