Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a night-shift ICU RN with open heart, neuro, and CRRT experience for a high-acuity unit in Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 30-bed mixed SICU, MICU, and Neuro ICU setting
• Care for fresh cardiac surgery (CABG), neuro, and high-acuity patients
• CRRT and stroke care experience required
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• Night shift schedule from 19:30 to 07:00
• Required to work every other weekend and every other holiday
• Floating may be required during low census in ICU
• Main responsibilities include caring for post-op open heart patients, managing CRRT, and acute neurological cases
• No requested time off (RTO) permitted during holidays
• Sick calls on weekends require a make-up shift the following weekend
• Scrub or dress code details not specified
• Local and travel candidates are accepted at the same pay rate

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications from AHA or Red Cross required
• Experience in open heart, neuro, CRRT, CABG, stroke, and TNK administration required
• Completion of Workplace Violence Prevention training (DCI/BVP) accepted via specified providers
• Epic EMR experience required
