Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced PACU RN with current MA licensure, academic medical center, and travel PACU experience for a day/night rotating position.
Responsibilities
- Work in a Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) within a hospital setting
- Day/night rotating schedule with up to 2 weekend shifts per month
- 36-hour work week over a 13-week assignment
- Patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures
- Uses EPIC charting system
- Must be able to float within the assigned nursing cluster if needed
- Parking is not validated and public parking options are available for a daily fee
- Local candidates must have a permanent residence at least 60 miles from the facility to qualify for standard pay rate
- Timekeeping is managed via UKG/Kronos
- Two professional references required for consideration
Requirements
- Active and unencumbered MA RN license required; no conditional or pending licenses accepted
- Minimum 3 years RN experience required
- At least 1 year of prior travel PACU experience required
- At least 1 year of experience in an academic medical center required
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification required
- Flu vaccination required with no religious or medical exemptions permitted
