Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Room position requiring a KS or compact RN license and ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC certifications.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Emergency Room of an acute care hospital
- Expanded 19-bed ER with two major trauma rooms, 13 private treatment rooms, four Fast-Track units, updated imaging suite, and private triage rooms
- Night shifts typically begin at 7:00 pm and are 12 hours in length
- May be required to work as charge RN on occasion
- Uses Cerner EMR system
- Responsibilities include care for diverse emergency and trauma cases in a fast-paced, modern ER setting
- Facility recently expanded for improved workflow, patient privacy, and team support spaces
- Charge nurse responsibilities may be assigned periodically
Requirements
- Active KS or compact RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years recent ER experience
- Certifications required: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
- Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification required
