Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist experienced in acute care and inpatient rehabilitation for a hospital travel assignment, requiring BLS and CCC-SLP certification.

Responsibilities

  • Work in an acute care hospital setting with rotation to inpatient rehabilitation
  • Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm
  • Every other Saturday shift required, with on-call duty on Sundays for weekends worked
  • Optional holiday coverage at time and a half
  • Floating between acute care and inpatient rehab units as needed
  • Cerner is used for electronic charting
  • Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify as a traveler
  • Assessment and treatment of patients in acute care and inpatient rehab settings
  • Participation in weekend and on-call rotation as scheduled in advance by management
  • Optional holiday coverage available
  • Supportive interdisciplinary team environment
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • No cost for parking

Requirements

  • Current BLS certification required
  • CCC-SLP certification required
  • Active State Speech Language Pathologist license required by start date; pending license accepted prior to start, but temporary licenses are not accepted
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as an SLP
  • Experience in acute care or inpatient rehabilitation preferred
  • License required if applicable
