Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab RN with a current AK RN license, BLS, and ACLS certifications for a hospital-based day shift assignment.
Responsibilities
- Position is in a hospital Cath Lab in an acute care setting
- Day shift schedule with four 10-hour shifts (7:00 to 17:00)
- Required on-call one day per week and every fourth or fifth weekend
- Approximately one Saturday per month is part of the scheduled shift
- Patients include those needing cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures
- May float to Electrophysiology (EP) or Interventional Radiology (IR) departments as needed
- Epic is the charting system used and Epic experience is required
- Scrubs are provided
- Responsibilities include pre-procedural assessment, assisting during cardiac procedures, and post-procedure care
- Expected to float between facilities within the state if needed
- First time travelers are eligible and encouraged to apply
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and meet the 50 mile radius rule
- Time off is approved individually post-offer, with only one request allowed per 13-week assignment
- Free on-site parking is available
- Magnet designated, Level II Trauma hospital
- Returned travelers must not have worked in the facility in the past three months
Requirements
- Active AK RN license must be in hand for immediate offer
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab RN experience required
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
- Epic EMR experience required
- Physical ability to respond to on-call responsibilities and handle busy procedural caseloads
