Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN with active RN license and ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications for a flexible schedule position.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital serving a rural community
• Treats patients of all ages with a variety of emergency conditions
• Variable schedule with flexibility to work days, evenings, nights, and weekends
• Clinical orientation provided every two weeks
• Perform a variety of emergency nursing care procedures with professional autonomy
• Support patients and families from diverse backgrounds including Native American communities
• Limited shared housing options available for applicants, no family or pets allowed
• Housing application must be submitted at least two weeks prior to start date
• Work in a culturally diverse and rural hospital environment

Requirements

• Active RN license from any state, AZ or compact license accepted
• Minimum of 3 years' recent emergency nursing experience required
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS from the American Heart Association
• Additional certifications required: ENPC, TNCC, and NIHSS
• Ability to complete additional required certifications (NRP, Emergency Severity Index Level 5, Patient Sitter Competency Training) within specified timeframes after hire
• Must complete fingerprinting prior to start
• COVID-19 and flu vaccine exemptions considered with declination form
