Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with ARRT registration and a minimum of 2 years’ imaging experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a dedicated MRI department in a hospital setting
• Patient care includes positioning for imaging, maintaining safety, and collaborating with physicians
• Candidates may float to a nearby sister hospital within the same health system
• Variable shifts are available, including a mix of 8 and 12 hour shifts with possible hours from 7:00 AM to 11:30 PM
• Weekend shifts may be required
• Block scheduling is not available
• Primary responsibilities include operating MRI scanners, obtaining diagnostic images, maintaining imaging equipment, and ensuring patient safety
• Duties involve taking medical histories, keeping accurate records, and making scanner adjustments under physician direction
• Online learning modules must be completed prior to starting, typically on site one week before the assignment begins
• Time off requests must be disclosed prior to assignment; additional requests are subject to approval after assignment starts
• Allow at least two weeks for background check and drug screening results, which must be completed through a specified vendor
• Work attire and dress code guidelines will be provided by the facility

Requirements

• Active Michigan license required if applicable
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography required
• Must become ARRT registered in MRI within 2 years of hire in the MRI department
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a technologist in imaging services required
• Completion of an accredited MRI program preferred
• Associate’s Degree in Applied Science required
• AHA BLS certification required
• Must possess excellent customer service skills and be flexible, reliable, and a strong team player
• COVID-19 vaccination is required
