Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with a PA or compact license, Level I trauma experience, and Cerner proficiency.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital operating room setting
- Evening shift from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, 5 days per week
- Traveler may float to the GI unit or Center One Surgery Center as needed
- Work schedule includes on-call requirements: up to 6 weekdays and 2 weekends per six-week schedule
- Required to work 1 holiday and be on call for 1 holiday per contract
- Patient population includes Level I trauma, liver, and kidney surgery cases
- Cerner charting system is used in this department
- Responsibilities include circulating and scrubbing for various surgical cases, including trauma and organ transplants
- Must be willing to float between designated surgical units as needed
- Holiday and on-call shifts must be fulfilled as scheduled
- Local candidates within 50 miles are accepted at a different rate
Requirements
- Active PA or compact state RN license required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Minimum of 3 years of operating room nursing experience
- Must have Level I trauma experience and experience with liver and kidney procedures
- Cerner EMR experience required
- No first-time travelers will be considered
- Professional references from the past 2 years must be provided
