Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray with at least 2 years of recent acute care experience and ARRT certification.

Responsibilities

• Position is in an acute care hospital setting with a Level 1 Trauma designation
• Work in the General Radiology department performing X-ray studies
• Covers emergency department, inpatient, orthopedic, and spine procedures in the OR
• Department features 3 general radiology rooms, 2 fluoroscopy rooms, 6 portable X-ray units, and 9 C-arms using GE, Carestream, and Shimadzu equipment
• Expect an average of 20–30 studies per day
• Epic EMR and Fuji PACS are used in the department
• Day shifts: Tuesday to Thursday 10:30 AM – 8:00 PM and Friday 7:30 AM – 8:00 PM
• Weekend and holiday coverage are required
• No floating to other areas is required
• Primary duties include performing X-ray exams in the ER, inpatient units, and OR orthopedic/spine procedures
• No IV starts are required for this role
• Daytime radiologist onsite; night coverage is remote
• Orientation includes equipment overview and Epic system training
• Hospital-provided blue scrubs are required
• Must attend on-site orientation even if initial modules are remote
• Returning candidates must not have been employed by any affiliated CommonSpirit facility within the past year

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years recent experience as a Radiology Technologist in an acute care setting, Level 1 Trauma experience preferred
• Active ARRT certification and current BLS (AHA) required
• Experience working in the OR with C-arms and portable X-ray equipment
• Proficiency with GE, Carestream, and Shimadzu imaging equipment
• Familiarity with Epic EMR and Fuji PACS preferred
• Driver’s license must be provided for consideration
• Must live at least 60 miles from the facility as determined by driver’s license
• Must provide two professional references: one supervisor from the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from the last 3 years including employment dates and eligibility for rehire
• Rad Tech badge required; badge is not provided by the facility
• License required if applicable
