Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN with an active IL license, ICU acute care background, and required certifications for a Level 1 Trauma Center assignment.

Responsibilities

• Work in various ICU units including Burn ICU, CCU, Medical ICU, SICU, and Neuro ICU within a hospital setting
• Occasional floating to med-surg units as needed
• Mandatory floating between ICUs and other units or sister facilities up to 50 miles, with notification as little as 2 hours prior to shift
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00am to 7:30pm, with every other weekend required
• No block scheduling or special scheduling requests permitted
• Cerner EMR utilized; experience preferred
• Must adhere to strict RTO policy: maximum 5 days off per contract, no more than 2 consecutive days, no RTO on weekends or holidays, and no RTO immediately before or after a holiday
• Initial orientation and precepting shifts are scheduled on day shift
• Navy blue scrubs are required and not provided
• Team-based care model is used when floated outside primary competency
• Level 1 Trauma Center environment
• All compliance documentation is due one week prior to orientation and lab work must be completed within 72 hours of accepting offer

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required at the time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU acute care experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination required; booster not required
• Must reside within a 75-mile radius of the facility to qualify as a local candidate
• Pending licenses are not accepted
