Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical unit position in Massachusetts requiring an active MA RN license and day/night rotating shifts.
Responsibilities
- Work in an acute general medicine unit with adult patients, including palliative and hospice care
- Unit has 20 private beds and typically operates at full census
- Clinician to patient ratio is 3:1 on days and 4:1 on nights
- 36-hour work week with day/night rotating shifts including weekends and holidays
- EPIC charting system is used on the unit
- Unit includes both general medicine and up to 25% palliative or hospice cases
- Must be willing to cover weekends and holidays as part of the rotation
- Local candidates must reside at least 60 miles from Boston
- Parking is not validated; public parking options are available with daily rates
- First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
Requirements
- Active MA RN license is required with no pending or conditional status accepted
- Minimum of 2 years RN experience is required
- At least 1 year of travel RN experience is required
- Current BLS certification through AHA required
- Primary source verification required for all professional licenses and certifications
- Flu vaccination required with no exemptions permitted
