Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring night shifts and telemetry interpretation skills.

Responsibilities

• Position is on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes adults requiring med/surg and telemetry monitoring
• Night shift schedule with 4x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
• Every other weekend work required
• Duties include providing comprehensive nursing care and monitoring telemetry patients
• First time travelers will be considered for this position

Requirements

• Active WI or compact state RN license in hand
• Minimum of 1 year recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience
• Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required before interview
• Ability to interpret and sign off on telemetry strips
• At least two supervisor references from within the past year, including one from the most recent assignment
