Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Med-Surg RN for a night shift Infectious Disease assignment requiring a New York RN license and recent Epic EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• Position is on the Infectious Disease C4 unit in an acute care hospital
• Med-Surg patient population with a focus on infectious disease cases
• Night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:30
• 13-week contract assignment
• EPIC EMR is used and prior experience is required
• No on-call duties listed
• No local candidates accepted from designated counties within a 50-mile radius
• Must complete competency testing as required for the unit
• More than three call outs in a 13-week period may result in contract termination and makeup shifts are required
• No blocked scheduling is permitted
• RTO (Requested Time Off) must be requested with submission
• Travel pairs are not allowed for this position
• Only one position submission per traveler is permitted

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years recent Med-Surg experience is required
• Current certifications from AHA or RQI, such as BLS, must be submitted with application
• Competency testing required for MS applicants with less than 2 years of experience
• Epic EMR experience is required for all candidates
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number is required; Canadian SIN not accepted
• Medical documentation required for flu vaccination exemptions
